CHANTAL MAHONEY

Chantal was born in Toulouse in the South of France. In 1996 she went to live in Beijing, China for two years. She migrated to Australia in 1998.

'As a painter and a musician I am looking for an interdisciplinary approach to music and art. The urge to work colour as one might sound, leads me to experiment with grouping chords and expressing resonance, like a free improvisation on a keyboard of colours.'

In 2004 Chantal completed her degree in Fine Art at the National Art School, and since 2005 she has been working in her studio at Headland Park. She has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows around Australia and France and her work is in collections in Australia and internationally.
